Hi!!! Okay so it sounds like you need a lot of moisture in your hair and you need help to retain that moisture. Moisturized Hair = Poppin Curls! So here are some products that I swear by: Shea Moisture’s Manuka Honey Hair Mask! I Deep Condition after every wash and this deep conditioner right here? Leaves my hair super soft and moisturized.
The Bentonite Clay mask! I have a video coming up on this mask BUT! When you need a curl reset? This is the one for you! Get yourself a jar of the Aztec healing clay, it costs about 6.99-9.99 at your local beauty supply store or a health food store, pour in a good amount of the powder into a non metal bowl and then get Apple Cider Vingar and mix it in with the powder (use a plastic or wooden spoon to mix these together! Metal takes out the properties of the clay that benefits your hair) mix until you’ve reached a consistency that you prefer! (I prefer a more yogurt like texture) once that’s done apply it to your hair in sections and leave it in for about 20-30 min (don’t let this get hard in your hair!) when time is up rinse it out and you’ll be left with shiny, soft, and defined curls! And you’ll find your hair products are super easy to apply and absorb into the hair shaft much better.
I can understand the frustration of not wanting to cut your hair anymore, so find a great deep conditioner, and a light protein treatment and swap those out weekly, For example you want to use your moisturizing deep conditioner one week and the next week use your protein based deep conditioner (Shea moisture’s jamaican black castor oil strengthen and grow masque is a great protein based conditioner). Also, i highly recommend doing a hot oil treatment with your favorite oils! olive oil, grapeseed oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, black castor oil, peppermint oil, mix any of these together warm it up and apply it to your scalp and the length of your hair every month, if youre not into diy there are plenty of hot oil treatments out there such as wild growth oil that can be found at your local beauty supply.
Also keep your hair tucked away! you can do any hairstyle you want as long as its protecting your ends! like a twistout or braidout, doing buns, or wearing wigs or even box braids and by keeping your hair moisturized in these styles and keeping a healthy scalp by massaging your scalp with some oil! Doing this helps keep your hair moisturized, strong and helps your grow out so you wont have to keep cuting away damage. BUT! if your still not seeing a change ( this if your hair is SEVERLY damaged) i highly suggest doing a big chop.
I know this is a lot of information but i really hope this helps!
